History of the Church

On October 14, 1872, a small group of loyal and devoted men and women met and organized the Silver Run Baptist Church. The town, at that time, was called Silver Run. Later the name was changed to Seale. Thus, the organization became the Seale Baptist Church.
The historic church burned on a Sunday morning on May 1981. One year later the present church was built and Service was held. The work was done by members and friends of the church. Contributions came from all corners of the country. When the church re-opened its doors, it was completely debt free.
A fellowship hall was built in the 1990's, and the sanctuary was remodeled during this time as well, under the direction of the pastor at that time. The men and women of the church also did the work. Remodeling of the sanctuary was based on Nehemiah and his rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem in 52 days. He challenged the church to complete this project in 52 days. In exactly 52 days the new sanctuary was dedicated!
Worship services and Sunday school have always been held on Sunday morning, with worship services on Sunday evenings. We have several different ministries and would love for you to come join us in building each other up as a church family as we serve the Lord together!

Church Technology
Seale Baptist utilizes the internet and computers to help spread God's word. This technology is also used to communicate with church members and inform others of what we have that God offers them through the church. We currently have a facebook page, this website, and email so you can contact us or learn more about God's infinite love for you. A church bulletin is printed weekly, with an up-to-date prayer list that goes out to members when new names are added. Our shut-ins are sent a prayer list by mail.
